Shops in Manotick

The commercial core is small enough to walk and covers more than visitors expect. Two flower shops, four pharmacies, a hardware store and a lumber yard, an LCBO, a grocery store, a post office and a run of genuinely independent Main Street retail. What it does not have is a big-box ring — for that you drive ten to twenty-five minutes to Barrhaven or Riverside South. Flowers

Two florists, and they are different businesses doing different things. Mill Street Florist at 1136 Mill Street (613-692-5000) is a full-service European-style shop with its own online ordering — hand-tied bouquets, plants, giftware and sympathy work. Manotick Farm Flowers at 5532 Manotick Main Street (613-692-2202) is a florist and a working flower farm: owner Sarah grows much of her own stock from May to October and buys the rest from other regional growers. It opened on 31 May 2025 in the space that was Rebel Petal, and it runs unusual hours — walk-ins Wednesdays only, 10am to 4pm, with pickups and deliveries Tuesday to Saturday morning when the shop is closed to the public. Weddings, events and subscriptions. If you want plants rather than cut flowers, that is the garden centres.

Be careful with search results: a lot of what ranks for "Manotick flowers" is national order-gathering sites with no shop here. If the site does not name a street address in the village, your order is being brokered.

Groceries, hardware and the everyday

McDonough's Your Independent Grocer at 1160 Beaverwood Road (613-692-2828) is the village grocery — a Loblaw banner, independently owned, and formerly Robinson's, which is why older directories still use that name. Giant Tiger is at 1168 Maple Avenue (613-692-4766). For hardware, Manotick Home Hardware at 1166 Beaverwood Road (613-692-3591) is the dealer-owned store in the village; RONA Manotick at 1346 Bankfield Road is a 14,000 square foot dealer-owned renovation centre that opened on 19 September 2024, and is the newer and larger of the two. The LCBO is at 1160 Beaverwood Road (613-692-2503) and the post office at 1171 Maple Street (613-692-3729). Also in the Beaverwood plaza: the Great Canadian Dollar Store, Pet Valu and a CIBC branch.

Pharmacies and cannabis

Four pharmacies serve the village and two of them are independents trading under a banner rather than corporate stores — worth knowing if you want a pharmacist who will remember you.

This is the part of the village that is genuinely unusual for a place this size — a run of owner-operated shops rather than a strip of franchises.

What the village does not have

No bookshop. No standalone butcher other than North Station Provisions. No big-box store, no hospital and no medical lab — those are ten to twenty-five minutes away in Barrhaven or Riverside South. If a search result promises one of these in Manotick, check the address before you drive.
