Manotick has a semi-pro hockey team. The Manotick Mariners, founded in 2024, join the LNAH — the Quebec league — for 2026-27 after a 18–2 season and a Sentinel Cup in the Northern Premier Hockey League. Eighteen Saturday-night home games at Mike O'Neil Arena from 3 October, adult tickets $20. The full schedule, prices and what to expect at the rink are below.

The short version

The Manotick Mariners are the village's senior men's hockey team, and from October 2026 they play in the Ligue nord-américaine de hockey (LNAH), the Quebec-based semi-professional league — the first Ontario team in it. Home ice is the Manotick Community Centre & Mike O'Neil Arena at 5572 Doctor Leach Drive. Home games are Saturdays at 7 pm, 18 of them between 3 October 2026 and 13 March 2027, against seven Quebec clubs. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students (12–17) and seniors (65+), from $10 for younger children, and season tickets are $324 adult / $180 student and senior. Tickets are sold on the team's own site, and games stream on TVLNAH.

How they got here

The Mariners were founded in 2024 and played their first season in the Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League, then moved to the Northern Premier Hockey League for 2025-26, where they went 18–2 in the regular season and won the Sentinel Cup. On 1 August 2026 the LNAH announced the club as its eighth team for 2026-27, taking the place left by the Laval Pétroliers. The owner is Tal Baroudi; Cody Waite is general manager and head coach. LNAH commissioner Mario Therrien said the arrival of a strong Ontario club would force the Quebec teams to be ready, and hinted that a Gatineau franchise could follow. The league has floated the Steve Yzerman Arena in Ottawa for any game that outgrows the village rink.

What the LNAH is

The LNAH is a senior semi-professional league that has run in Quebec since 1996 under a few names, with rosters full of former QMJHL and minor-pro players who now hold day jobs. It is known for a fast, physical style and for small cities that fill their rinks — Saint-Georges, Sorel-Tracy, Thetford Mines and Rivière-du-Loup are places of 20,000 to 35,000 people, which is the company Manotick now keeps. The 2026-27 league: Assurancia Thetford, Marquis Jonquière, Cool FM St-Georges, 3L Rivière-du-Loup, Éperviers Sorel-Tracy, National Québec, Bataillon St-Hyacinthe and the Mariners.

Going to a game

Mike O'Neil Arena is the City rink beside the Manotick Community Centre on Doctor Leach Drive, off Bridge Street on Long Island — five minutes' walk from Main Street, so eat in the village first (where) and walk over. Parking is the community-centre lot; on a full night expect to park on the streets around it. It is a community arena, not a stadium: bring a jacket, get there early for a seat on the glass, and expect the crowd to know the players. The arena is also home ice for minor hockey and public skating through the week.
